30 Day Drawing Challenge, Day 24

Day 24: A Couple

I’m pretty sure I could have been a smart ass and drawn two of the same items. It wouldn’t have been difficult to leave it at that. But I was in a better mood when I planned out what I would draw today, so no smart ass for you!

I will, however, draw something that is simple and elegant. Life, love, it should all be simple. It’s not supposed to be complicated. People make it complicated. Circumstances make it complicated. It’s supposed to be fun. Love, life, it should be fun. Not heavy, burdened and worrisome.

I’m in a heavy, burdened and worrisome kind of mood.

Today’s assignment reminds me of a song by Easton Corbin:
He sings
“Love don’t have to be a bunch of drama
A bunch of knock down, drag-outs cryin’ in the rain
It’s alright to keep it light now mama, don’t you think
We’re having such a good time together, it’s only just begun
My heart’s never smiled so hard, baby, loving you is fun”

I wish more people lived by these lyrics. Life doesn’t have to be a complicated mess. Why can’t we just have fun?

Beautiful! I find hands so difficult to draw, you did a wonderful job. And what a great representation of a couple 🙂

Love it! What a fantastic drawing! Hands are a pain in the @ss to get right, and you succeeded stunningly.

    • Stunningly? You are too sweet. I was pleased with it at first, then not so much, and now I’m pleased again. We are our own worst critics, after all! 🙂 (And yes, they are a pain. I couldn’t follow the tutorial, I just went with it.)

What are your thoughts?
