Step 1: Tell them to clean their room.
Step 2: Yell at them three hours later because they would rather read a book or play than clean their room.
Step 3: Clean it for them while they are at school.
Honestly, I’ve tried organizational lists, minimal room decor and a myriad of other options to encourage clean bedrooms. Even the “look mommy is cleaning her room” doesn’t work so well.
Any idea how to encourage a child with Autism and ADHD to pick up their toys instead of being distracted by them?
